As a Bookkeeper, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of a prestigious legal firm. You'll manage financial records, guarantee accurate reporting, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the firm’s activities.

About You:
• Experience in bookkeeping, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels
About Your New Role:
Always:
• Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements
• Assisting with VAT returns, tax filings, and liaising with auditors
• Supporting the finance team with ad hoc reporting and analysis
Often:
• Billing clients and managing invoicing processes
• Ensuring timely collection of outstanding fees
• Assisting in the preparation of profit and loss sheets for annual accounts
Occasionally:
• Reviewing and processing employee expenses and petty cash
• Participating in training and professional development opportunities
Never:
• Long hours with no recognition
• Opening a spreadsheet only to find it’s magically reformatted itself
