About You

  • Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).

  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards.

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with Sage is advantageous.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness.

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work on your own initiative.

  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

About Your Role

Always

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts to review stage, including forecasts, budgets, and accompanying board packs.

  • Maintain financial control and ensure comprehensive, timely financial reporting.

  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

  • Support the statutory audit process, preparing audit files and liaising with external auditors.

  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

Often

  • Review and enhance internal controls within the finance department.

  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and build strong relationships.

  • Manage payment runs, staff expenses, and bank reconciliations.

  • Oversee customer support activities, including raising sales invoices and updating financial transactions in Sage.

Occasionally

  • Provide payroll support as needed.

  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and special projects to support the Finance Manager.

  • Deputise for senior finance staff during absences.

Never

  • Be bored! This is a fast-paced, dynamic role with plenty of variety.
