About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate will have:
Fully qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or QBE with relevant experience.
Strong IT skills with the ability to work efficiently with financial systems.
Excellent analytical and organisational skills to manage complex financial data.
Strong communication skills to present financial insights clearly and confidently.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Your Responsibilities
Always:
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Finalise year-end accounts, liaising with external auditors to meet statutory requirements.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
Oversee VAT returns, payroll, and other statutory filings, ensuring full compliance.
Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Often:
Provide detailed financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.
Analyse profit margins, cash flow, and cost structures to support decision-making.
Identify areas for improvement within the finance function and lead process optimisation initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial strategies and business goals.
Partner with operational teams to manage financial aspects of key projects and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Occasionally:
Support the integration of new financial systems or tools to enhance reporting and efficiency.
Serve as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulators.
Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and business planning.
Assist in preparing for growth initiatives, such as acquisitions, expansions, or new product launches.
