Tax Accountant(Mixed) - Belfast - £44,000 -£51,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Tax Accountant to join a growing finance team based in Belfast. This role offers a broad mix of tax responsibilities, including corporate tax compliance and advisory, VAT, personal tax, and employment tax, providing you with a varied and engaging workload

About You:

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) or equivalent, ideally with a background in corporate tax or mixed tax

• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to detail

• Proficient in using tax software packages

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax and accounting matters to non-specialists

• Experience in preparing and submitting UK corporate and partnership tax returns

About Your New Role:

Always:

• Preparing and filing tax returns for UK and international companies and partnerships

• Handling VAT returns, including checking for accuracy and providing advice on complicated VAT issues

• Helping with deferred tax calculations and preparing tax notes for company accounts

Often:

• Giving advice on various tax matters, including corporate tax, VAT, and employment tax

• Assisting senior management with tax compliance and strategic decisions

• Working closely with finance teams and external advisors to ensure tax returns are accurate and submitted on time

Occasionally:

• Participating in tax-related projects, such as digitalisation, capital allowances, and business planning

• Taking part in training sessions and industry events to develop your skills further

Never:
