Tax Director - Belfast - £80,000 - £90,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Director to join a growing tax team in Belfast, offering hybrid working options. This role is heavily weighted toward advisory work, with a focus on corporate tax for OMBs and large corporate groups.

About You:

  • CTA or ACA qualified with substantial corporate tax experience

  • Extensive experience in corporate tax advisory

  • Familiarity with corporate tax compliance (beneficial but not the primary focus)

  • Exposure to other tax areas (e.g., VAT, R&D, and Personal Tax) is advantageous but not essential

About the Role:

Always:

  • Deliver strategic corporate tax advisory services to a diverse client base

  • Support and mentor junior team members, delegating tasks and reviewing work

  • Collaborate with clients to provide tailored solutions for complex tax matters

Often:

  • Stay ahead of changes in tax legislation and proactively advise clients on implications

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the client portfolio

  • Assist with other tax areas, such as VAT and R&D, when required

Occasionally:

  • Attend client meetings to provide in-depth advisory support

  • Represent the firm at networking and industry events

Never:

  • Working weekends or handling menial tasks

  • Cleaning the company microwave… unless it’s your mess!
